LESET deals with a common problem for all European citizens. We, as teachers and students, are not only a school staff, we are citizens as well. That is why the teachers can help their students, future citizens, to get a better idea about energy.

click to enlarge LESET logoFive countries will work together to take a picture of our current energy situation and will develop strategies in teaching/learning. We wanted to Introduce students to both general and the latest results of learning theory using the material provided from the Comenius 3 Network "LTE" Learning and teaching (foreign languages) efficiently on the basis of innovative methods and ICT (230243-CP-1-2006-1-DE-COMENIUS-C3PP).

Firstly one focus will be on teaching English as we need it as a common mean of communication. New technologies and methods as Interactive Whiteboard (IWB), Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and Stress Reduced Learning (SRL) will be introduced

Secondly we want to be a new reference to make a better future. For us the only thing we can do immediately is trying to change our minds and show that it is possible to have more energy (left) by consuming less energy. We will try to achieve this by involving students and teachers, and school communities like parents, local authorities and others, too.

Students have to be taught in two ways: be more efficient using energy (natural resources) and learn more efficiently (personal resources).

Mixing these two, students will be able to get some knowledge how to face the common task of saving energy which is important for all European citizens. We learn that using less energy doesn’t mean a loss in comfort. Energy production, CO2-reduction, greenhouse effect and global warming are important challenges for our future on this planet.
